I’ve been shooting this family since before they were a family. I have loved watching them grow in every sense of the word. I was so excited when Crystal told me she was expecting another baby this spring, so we planned for a maternity shoot, which was quickly taken over by little miss madam! We were absolutely killing ourselves laughing over her posing her self and just kicking her feet up in my little chair, completely uncoached. Tears just rolling down my face as I shot image after image of her setting herself up. I love sessions like this where I feel part of your family and I get to capture these hilarious, happy delightful moments. Miss S – don’t ever change that darling personality of yours, it will take you far!
I can’t believe this session was a year and a half ago! I met with Nicolette and Sam during one of the craziest weather systems we’ve had in a really long time with long periods of fog leaving THE MOST AMAZING hoar frost you have ever seen. It was a photographers winter wonderland dreamscape and I wanted to take full advantage of it. It took Nicolette a little bit of convincing but I got her in the end and the result was nothing short of gorgeous!
Like I’ve said before sunset is my absolute favourite time to shoot. The light is gorgeous and the beautiful painted sky adds so much to your shoot. So when your photographer says lets meet at sunset – you nod enthusiastically and go in knowing you are getting the best possible time of day! I met last summer with Jess and Johnny, I’ve known them since they were just young and in love, well honestly they are still young and in love but it’s been a few years since I’ve seen them last so not as young haha. They were an absolute blast to be around, and Jess I am still so sorry about the bee stinging your butt!
Last summer I had the opportunity to photograph a vow renewal. It was lovely and all about family. The couple chose to do a hand fasting where their children fastened their hands together to represent their union as a family. With all the fires that happened last summer the skies were a little hazy but still made for such a lovely sunset ceremony on their property.
I am so delinquent in my blogging and I apologize for that! So here I am getting caught up and bombarding you with lovely photos of lovely people!
I met up with Emily and Graham back in May on a really cold and rainy day. We were planning to have an outdoor engagement session in the evening but the weather wasn’t cooperating with us, so I came up with a plan B and we headed indoors to a local greenhouse for one of my favourite engagement sessions to date!
