I was so excited to head to the hospital for this little mans arrival. It was my first “fresh 48” or as close as we could get with how early he joined our side. Mr. S was born at 32 weeks much earlier than everyone had hoped for, by the time I was able to come and visit, he was thriving and doing so unbelievably well as was his amazingly strong mama bear!
I met with this family almost a year ago, it’s hard to believe how quickly time passes. They were super sweet and totally laid back and all my kind of weird humour. Easy to say I loved them immediately. Their sweet baby girl was no different and slept throughout her entire session, I remember laughing as her parents were like she’s never slept this long in her 7 day life…sooooo do you nanny…at night…so we can sleep. This was one of the last posed newborn sessions that I have done as I will be switching over to a lifestyle type of session.
Like I’ve said before sunset is my absolute favourite time to shoot. The light is gorgeous and the beautiful painted sky adds so much to your shoot. So when your photographer says lets meet at sunset – you nod enthusiastically and go in knowing you are getting the best possible time of day! I met last summer with Jess and Johnny, I’ve known them since they were just young and in love, well honestly they are still young and in love but it’s been a few years since I’ve seen them last so not as young haha. They were an absolute blast to be around, and Jess I am still so sorry about the bee stinging your butt!
I went back to school this winter so my photography had to take a bit of a back seat for a few months while I completed it, I didn’t book as many shoots and missed it dearly. I managed to squeeze in a couple mom and me couch sessions with some friends and their sweet babies.
If you can’t tell already sunset is my favourite time to shoot at. The light is always perfect the sky is colourful and you can always get some pretty amazing silhouettes with the right spot!
Carol-Anne and Dennis are such a lovely couple! Carol-Anne found me through a project I did a couple years ago and we met over coffee and I fell in love with the couple as we bonded over our beagles and all things English!
Last summer I had the opportunity to photograph a vow renewal. It was lovely and all about family. The couple chose to do a hand fasting where their children fastened their hands together to represent their union as a family. With all the fires that happened last summer the skies were a little hazy but still made for such a lovely sunset ceremony on their property.
With Wedding Season upon us I thought I would share some of the beautiful weddings I shot last summer! A reminder of all things beautiful, beautiful weather, people, couple, vows, love.
My first wedding of the season was with Gillian and Christopher. This couple was without a doubt the sweetest couple, and so beyond in love it was amazing. They surrounded themselves with their closest family and friends to celebrate themselves and their union. The dress couldn’t have suited Gillian more and they were just so beautiful!
It’s been so long since I’ve blogged a session. I’m pretty sure its been almost a year, time to get back into the swing of things and show you a little more of my work and what to expect when you book me for a session!
I met with Brittney and Shawn after many emails back and forth and instantly fell in love with them both. They were troopers trekking through really wet slushy snow but the end result couldn’t have been more perfect!
I am so delinquent in my blogging and I apologize for that! So here I am getting caught up and bombarding you with lovely photos of lovely people!
I met up with Emily and Graham back in May on a really cold and rainy day. We were planning to have an outdoor engagement session in the evening but the weather wasn’t cooperating with us, so I came up with a plan B and we headed indoors to a local greenhouse for one of my favourite engagement sessions to date!
