I love what our city has to offer. We have so many amazing scenic backdrops, and I spend a ton of time looking and finding amazing locations for my clients, I love to include it in my photos. I met with this amazing couple who’s wedding is only one short month away and I could not be more excited for it!
When Katie told me how early she got her grad dress and showed me a picture of it, the Edmonton Ice Castle was my very first thought. This dress is too perfect for the castle so we made it our mission to get ourselves down there for this shoot and to of course make it nothing short of spectacular! I think we did good there! Congratulations Katie! I can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things you are going to achieve!
I found this dress just before Christmas last year and immediately thought of my friend Briana. My next thought was “Well now I have to shoot her in it!” So I sent her a message and told her how I found a dress and I wanted to shoot her in it, she agreed without hesitation – I love it when people give into my whims with no questions asked. We eventually decided to shoot her in it seasonally with our first spot being a garden centre, I mean really, how spring can you get? I am so excited with how these turned out and can’t wait for our summer location! I have also decided to turn this dress into a Travelling dress with many of my photographer friends where it will be sent around Alberta and part of B.C. this year. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
This was such a beautiful day. Erin and Dustin had a small wedding out at Elk Island National Park on a hot sunny day, and with a little pre scouting trip with my littles I found the perfect location for their formals in a buffalo resting field. We got lucky and they had moved on from when I was out on my scouting trip a week earlier but we managed to get their rings photographed in a hoof print! This couple was so easy going and so truly in love. The way Dustin looks at Erin…Pure Love.
I’ve been shooting this family since before they were a family. I have loved watching them grow in every sense of the word. I was so excited when Crystal told me she was expecting another baby this spring, so we planned for a maternity shoot, which was quickly taken over by little miss madam! We were absolutely killing ourselves laughing over her posing her self and just kicking her feet up in my little chair, completely uncoached. Tears just rolling down my face as I shot image after image of her setting herself up. I love sessions like this where I feel part of your family and I get to capture these hilarious, happy delightful moments. Miss S – don’t ever change that darling personality of yours, it will take you far!
I can’t believe this session was a year and a half ago! I met with Nicolette and Sam during one of the craziest weather systems we’ve had in a really long time with long periods of fog leaving THE MOST AMAZING hoar frost you have ever seen. It was a photographers winter wonderland dreamscape and I wanted to take full advantage of it. It took Nicolette a little bit of convincing but I got her in the end and the result was nothing short of gorgeous!
I met this amazing lady through my daughters first dance class and have become fast friends. She is the type of friend that makes friendship easy and fun and everything I look for in a friendship. My daughter squeals with excitement over seeing one of her very best friends, so it’s always a visit I look forward to having for both our sakes.
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing one of my oldest friends weddings last summer. It was everything! We did a first look where my second shooter Kayleigh of Kayleigh Lynds Photography and I shut down the middle of Rice Howard Way in Downtown Edmonton and did an amazing first look with Meghan and Jason. We then went and did some quick family photos of their soon to be family of 3 and then hit the pub for a quick drink before heading down across town to have their ceremony and some more formals at the Alfred H Savage Centre at the Edmonton Equine Park. The day was amazing and like all weddings rushed by all too quickly with their small ceremony of close friends and family. Thank you so much Meghan and Jason for sharing your day with us! And also Happy almost Anniversary!
I was absolutely thrilled when Meghan came to me to ask me to shoot her wedding. We have been friends so much longer than I’m sure either of us would like to admit, so I was tickled pink when she popped my my house one day to ask! We managed to coordinate in time for the beginning of blossom week here in the city and it was so worth it! The flowers and the couple are absolutely beautiful.
